Hello- So I am aware of what current relocation fees are in Metro LA for those who notified after April 11, 2007, however, I am not sure of what they were prior to that. My building manager seems to think that they are $3300 which is what current "non-qualified" tenants are being offered (those w/o dependents, not the elderly or low-income), however I have lived in my building for my than 5 years. Is that amount correct? Cause boy I feel screwed knowing that 2 months later the city basically tripled the relocation fee due to me.

Also, I recall there was an old provision about an additional subsidy due to displaced tenants which provided up to $250 a month for a comparable unit for up to a year following relocation. Anyone know about this? I just don't feel the $3300 is fitting for my rent-controlled building since the rents in my neighborhood have increased dramatically since 2001.

Any insight or direction is welcome.
