I'm going to be moving to L.A. within the next few months and I've been looking for nothing more than a studio apartment (or if there is an amazing deal on a 1 bedroom that I haven't found) in the Hollywood/West Hollywood/LA area and I recently found this listing:

Moderator cut: new members may not post links

I'd appreciate some opinions/advice on:

- The place itself
- The area it's in
- The company that manages the apartments
- Anything else you have to add/other apartment suggestions

Thanks.

I have friends who live there. It's very centrally located in terms of the gay scene on santa monica blvd and the sunset strip. It's a well maintained building, but highly overpriced. You'll easily be paying 200-400 more a month than you should. You'll be paying 1300-1500 for a studio when that can easily get you a one bedroom not far away in another complex. I've been to the complex and it's nice and well maintained, but I don't think it has the right to charge Palazzo prices for what it offers.

Thanks for the input, man. Can you think of any nearby buildings that are more fairly priced off the top of your head?

^Dahlia Gardens, Villa Francisca. But if you're certain you want to live in an area, I'd walk around and look at for lease signs or just inquire. THe vast majority of apartments do not advertise online..
