Cities In L.A with Loudest And Most Quiet Residential Streets (Santa Monica: houses, college)

Which cities have residential streets with the most amount of traffic (people just using the street as shortcut or main road) vs quiet?

I'm sure we can all agree that streets in West Hollywood receive a lot of car traffic throughout the day from non-residents.

What about Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and Studio City?

I am pretty sure I have seen maps which depict street traffic in terms of 1000s of cars per hour or day on either the LA County Public Works or Street Maintenance or LA City websites. Something like thick lines or red lines depict heavier traffic. Also, routes that serve a lot of trucks from factories or warehouses would tend to be noisier.

several streets in Santa Monica are very heavily traveled - 20th between Pico and Ocean Park (due to SM college), Intersection of Lincoln and Olympic (due to 10 entrance), etc. I'm sure they're not as busy as some of the major streets in LA, though.

There are also very quiet streets. I can go hours without seeing someone drive down my street.

Hollywood Blvd. from Vine to La Brea seems the loudest to me. In terms of most traffic, probably Sunset in West Hollywood since it always seems jammed 24/7.

As for Studio City, Ventura Blvd. is somewhat heavily trafficked, but the noise level is low. Around Ventura and Laurel Canyon Blvd. has the most congestion. The area by the Sherman Oaks Galleria at Ventura and the 405 also is heavily congested.

The quietest areas of LA that seem to be quite lively are Brentwood along Montana at night and Studio City.

There are quiet streets near you now, just up the street into Laurel Canyon. I rarely heard anything when I visited there. Most of the residential streets in Ocean Park are pretty quiet from what I hear.

I am pretty sure that Laurel Canyon is just as loud as Havenhurst if not louder. You can't tell by visiting. People use these streets as MAIN ROADS during the morning, all day and night in order to avoid traffic on streets like Crescent Heights. I am positive Laurel Canyon is a high traffic street. One visit can be VERY deceiving. Sleep in a place on Laurel Canyon for one night and I'm sure you will hear traffic all day long well into the evening.

I mean the streets OFF Laurel Canyon. I stayed there for 2 weeks and didn't hear much traffic and nobody ever walked by or anything.

Main streets are loud and residential streets vary depending on several factors such as, amount of multiple residential buildings in the area, short cuts to main streets, off main street parking for local businesses.
