not to mention Detroit, and St Louis, plus the some of the small, rural towns in states like AR and Mississippi for starters.

I would love to see all people, black, white or whatever with jobs, educations if they want and living in a safe neighborhood, but until young girls stop having babies out of wedlock and teens realize they can not make a decent honest living without a high school education, the inner city problems will continue. Yes, many are black.

Did anyone know that the 2nd president of Mexico was a black man?..Interesting fact. I think the west coast would appreciate blacks more if they were more in touch with their black heritage like the east coast Latinos. I have Latino family members and I'm black. I cannot even imagine us hating one another like they do on the West coast.

Many are also white. White teens are dying in record numbers from prescription pills and herion but the media doesn't like discussing this

From experience the Latinos and Blacks get along really well.Maybe it's more of a gang issue in LA. LA isn't as attractive as it use to be in my opinion.I say that because of the gangs and so on. I say the same for Chicago. No one really wants to reside somewhere where they have to fret for their child's safety or deal with much racism. Point of the matter is I love Latinos, Blacks,Whites,Asians all human races.
The Latinos out West are mainly Mexican and Central Americans, nations that have far fewer people of African descent. New York has a lot of Dominicans and Puerto Ricans, many of whom are Black or mixed race. So that's the difference.

The New York latinos that are Mexican, Central, or South American aren't that close to Blacks either.

Why not? Blacks in Latin America were slaves just like Blacks in English North America. There's racism and persecution of Blacks in Latin countries just as you have it here in the US. So of course we don't all like each other.

The same can be said here in Northern California. Black population in general has declined here heavily for the reasons that I have stated. Oakland has also seen its black population decline as well.
This can be summed up in one sentence. They couldn't afford it and were priced out!
