Look on Craigslist and West Side Rentals. I didn't see that many apartments come up in El Segundo when I was looking in Oct/Nov (I ended up choosing Santa Monica.) Besides El Segundo and Westchester you could look at Playa del Ray and Manhattan or Hermosa Beach (that last two may be tough to stay within your budget.) The southern part of Santa Monica, Venice, Mar Vista and West LA would also be within 30 minutes of LAX although they may not be what you're looking for.

i don't like torrance too much. i am willing to move in north side of la. how about beverly hills or santa monica blvd area? is that safe?

Thank you all for responses. but i don't like to move torrance,ca. i am looking for north l.a. or beverly hills side? is these area safe? which area will you suggest me?

why are you considering beverly hills when you want a short commute? i'm sure you could get lucky on some days and keep the drive under 30 minutes, but it will probably take longer than that most days.

oh.. i thought torrance abd beverly hills have same distance. i checked century city, west la . but i am not sure for the safety of this area.
