I was impressed with how well the police and other emergency workers handled this. It seems like every time we have a disaster of some sort, the different agencies work well together.

Didn't the moron shooter realize the way to change the government is to make tons of money and hire lobbyists rather than shooting strangers ?

Why is it that all these articles, within the first few sentences, make it sound like the threat to security is by foreign terrorists? Every shooting incident in this country has been by some sick, twisted American citizen who has access to guns.
I have flown between JFK and LAX numerous times and the security is pretty much the same. The major difference is that it's harder to get a gun in NT. The only alternative at this point is to frisk everyone at the entrance to the airport. Then everyone will complain about their rights.
Either you get rid of guns in this country or you deal with the fact that the crazies will pop up every so often and kill people. Freedom comes with responsibilities and consequences. There is NO perfect world.
However, I am really pissed at this fool because he screws up my LA is better than NYC argument. I still believe it but now it's harder to make it.

Certainly bolsters the LA vs. New Jersey argument, though.

True, but I've always felt that Anywhere vs. New Jersey was a winning argument.

Hah, exactly what I thought as soon as I read the news!
Irony is, TSA's ridiculous searches and rules what makes people snap in the first place!

That is because they get good practice in LA!

Right. Zero responsibility; let's blame everyone else.
