Considering a job offer in Valencia, CA. Office is located in Rye Canyon loop road.

With a rental budget of $3000-3200, I am looking for a place to live in an area with best schools (middle and high) possible for my daughter who will be entering 7th grade this year.

Please help by listing some areas (zip codes) I should look into..

Can we get a decent rental with minimum 2 BR, 2 Bath with 3k in those areas?

We intend to buy a home in an year or two in the same area as well..

All I know about that street is: Newhall Coffee Company is headquartered there, and it's the street Paul Walker the actor guy died in a fiery crash.

yby1-

I did not particularly see any middle schools that are rated 9-10 on great schools. Are there any specific middle schools that you can recommend? I am also checking with academy of canyons, but thats couple of years away for my daughter who will be in 7th grade. She is a gifted student who is heavy on academics.
Thanks

You'll probably like Stevenson Ranch, next to Valencia.

I have a family member who recently graduated from Canyon Country High.. It seems like a decent school, I went to a couple sporting events there.. I also know the surrounding area from regular visits, which is also nice. Might be worth lookin' into it. Zip code 91351.

Summers are rough if you're not into desert heat ~
anyways, peace.

Not to mention Santa Clarita, next door, has Vasquez rocks! Love 'em!

And there's Six Flags Magic Mountain too!

With a rental budget of $3000-3200,

----

You should easily be able to find rental units at that price.
There are lots of brand new apartments and homes up there.

As one reply wrote - suggest you check out Stevenson Ranch a few miles to the south.
There is lots of great shopping down there, and when the Ranch was built, they included lots of vegetation, so I think you'll notice it looks more green.

The area up around Rye Canyon didn't get as much vegetation. They're still building up there, so it's not really done yet.

YMMV
