Any recommendations for places that are age 18-34, one's without a strict dress code (I go out to party, not to sit around and show off my outfit). You know, a place where people actually dance.

There are other places too but yelp could help you with that. Also, try to find some club promoters on facebook that is where it's at.

Good luck with the "No Dress Code" thing. LA is notoriously stupid when it comes to that.

Also, Hip Hop is on the wane. I wouldn't expect too much: it's not the 90's anymore.

Yeah where are the clubs that actually play music outside of Hollywood? Every place I go to in LA has a dj but no one dances. Great music but everyone is lounging around. The gay clubs in WeHo are still bouncing. But I've been to the W Hotel in Westwood, Bar Marmont, The Den, The Hudson, etc. The only dancing I saw was mock dancing, like a couple of yuppies pretending to dance to an old school hip hop song.

Bar Lubbitch in West Hollywood on Santa Monica was great. There was dancing there, so there's one.

All the other places I've been to where dancing was the main thing were specifically electronic dance parties/concerts.

Yelp says Club Ivar is closed. I'm guessing it opened back up recently?
