Illegall immigrants are guilty of breaking the law.

We all know that Democrats endorse the release of millions of illiterate children into the workplace every year since they're all in with the teachers unions, but an illegal immigrant is a criminal, pure and simple.

I found this part the most interesting:

Latino Majority on the way

"While their growth has slowed in recent decades, Latinos will likely be the majority in Los Angeles County by 2020, experts say.

And since 2001, more than 60 percent of babies born in L.A. County have been Latino compared with more than 50 percent in the state. This generation is the future of California and thus it’s important to invest in it, said David Hayes-Bautista, professor of medicine and director of the Center for the Study of Latino Health and Culture at UCLA’s School of Medicine.

“Their educational levels and their employment opportunities set the economic tone for this region,” Hayes-Bautista said. “If they do well, we all do well. If they do poorly, we all do poorly.”

And the disparities are clear. Nearly 11 percent of Latino adults in California ages 25 or older have earned at least a bachelor’s degree compared with 30 percent of all Californians, 39 percent of whites, 23 percent of African-Americans and about 48 percent of Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders, according to 2011 U.S. Census Bureau data."

I really hope Latinos do well in regards to education because only having 11% of Latino adults with at least a bachelor's degree is not a good thing.
I remember reading a book, after the Watts riots entitled "Rivers of blood and Days of Darkness" It was about the riots but toward the end the author discussed the changing Los Angeles and the influx of Hispanics or Latinos, whatever. He said and I don't remember the time frame, but Los Angeles would surpass any city with the exception of Mexico City in number of Mexicans.

did it occur to you that 2 or 3 centuries ago Ameica was a very different place. Not to mention, our ancesters came here legally or some prior to the days of legal versus illegal. I don't think the majority of people hate immigrants, but yes, many are not crazy over the influx of illegals. I do think hate is a very strong word to be using. WHat would you like to see happen? All of us leave the country and give it back to the Native Americans? I wonder what would happen then? I get so tired of the libs argument about "we stole the land"

I find it interesting that many on the right like to invoke the "America was a different place back in the day" argument when advocating for revoking the 14th Amendment guarantee of birthright citizenship.

Ok, I'll grant you that. America has changed and maybe it's time that we adjust to the times. I'll assume then that you would be okay revisiting the 2nd Amendment as well. After all, weaponry has progressed quite a bit since 1789 and America is quite a different place...

What else would you call it? Maybe you're troubled by the fact the "illegals" descend from those few indigenous nomads who weren't exteminated.

As I said, do you want to give it back? What happened 2 centuries ago, regardless of what you may think, is over, it is done, there is nothing that can be done and for the most part, America with its faults is a great place to live. I don't see many libs, who can't stop talking about who stole what, trying to move to another country...

I respectfully disagree with this statement.
When the new administration takes office after the 2016 election, a strong deportation policy will be in effect, and many in the Hispanic community will be gone, and those remaining will be a low percentage compared to other ethnic groups.
As well, sanctuary cities in the state will be a thing of the past, which will also drive the Hispanic population from California, and that is the realistic look at the future of California, and Los Angeles in particular.

Bob.
...And then you rolled over and woke up!

Roughly 40 percent of illegal immigrants over stayed visas which is not a "criminal" offense but a civil one.

Regardless, something being illegal or not does not necessarily determine whether it is good or not. Drinking alcohol in 1925 was illegal. We "rewarded" the lawbreakers in the 1930's with a change in the law.

The only reason I wouldn't move is because my family is here and I want my daughter to be close to her grandparents/family.

There's also my allegiance to California as I have lived here for 90 percent of my life. Otherwise, yeah I'd be leaving for Canada, Australia or Scandinavia in a heartbeat.

As the immortal Rick Froberg said, "America will settle for less."
