im getting around 840 bucks / year with geico and i have my car insurance with them. i feel that's too much.

just did a quote through farmers and its around 650/yr.

major differences tho... with geico the guy said i need to ensure at least 20% of the property and farmers didnt say anything so i did 15k in personal items + 30k property damages.

that being said - does anyone know if lenders require you to ensure a certain amount? (like 20% of the condo purchase price).

anyone know the cheapest company out there?

I have AAA, it's $590, but I have multiple insurance discount. My house is 3000 sqf. Mine is replacement. But who knows, condo might be more expensive.

While you are at it, double-check if your auto insurance has high enough coverage in the event of a big accident. You don't want people going after your condo because of sucky coverage.

When you buy cheap insurance, it is really good, as long as you never need it.
