I've recently moved to Los Angeles from Canada and am a fashion student here. I would love to get into acting. I have very limited work from back home and know that that makes my chances more slim but I would still like to try. I don't have a work VISA here...only a student VISA. Is it even possible to audition for roles? I definitely cannot be the only Canadian trying to do this. Does anyone have any tips or information? The BAFTA's seem to have a solid network for their expat actors without work VISAs but Canada doesn't seem to have such a support system...or maybe I'm out of the loop. Can anyone help?
Thanks ![]() |

Contact US consulate. Or you can try to see IF you can find a really sympathetic secretary at SAG to help you.
