Weekly or monthly? (for sale, apartments, rent)

ok well i was wondering in America (prefrably LA)do yall pay your Rent monthly or weekly??

ok thaks here we pay weekly, and was looking @ apartments in LA and thinking $2000 a week WOW LOL

So the actual 1 apartment for sale in the New York Manhattan Century Tower costs 1.1 million US-Dollar, another apartment is for rent, they want 2,600 US-$. I found this house because Jeff Bezzos (2nd richest American) has 3 apartments bought there and linked them to one. I thought weekly, this would be than 135,200 per year and unlike bought the apartments on rent I guess in the US than some repairs etc have to be done by the house owner? If monthly one life would not bring in 1.1 million I guess...

€dit: I meant like in Germany for example, if you rent a flat/apartment and you have a damage in the bathroom or so, than you call the company or person who owns it and the company or person has to fix it, bought... you have your silence, you pay only electricity, heating and I guess the yearly.... dunno how you call it, but lets try "running costs in public sector", I think this can be from the energy from the floors and the light bulbs, the wage for the people working to replace for example one damaged bulb, or people who clean and at least in Berlin quite expensive the garbage... I think in New York as a much bigger Metro Area with many sides to the water and one large good part taken by the JFK it is even a longer drive for gargabe and costs more than here,

Its also, I do not know really who gets weekly paid for work and who monthly and why... federal, state, local/county employees or everyone working "for the state" somehow gets it monthly I think, but some jobs which are seasonal or for other reasons you can lose it every day, they are paid weekly?!
