Why not lead by example?

disgruntled la native: You can't find a 1 bedroom apartment for under $1600!

*get proven wrong*

disgruntled la native: Uh uh uh... that's East Hollywood! You definitely won't find that outside of the East side of Hollywood!

disgruntled la native: Uh uh uh... well I bet those are the only ones that exist! They're probably scams! This is impossible!

Well, they are the only ones that exist. Out of hundreds.

The point is, the median price is closer to $2000 for a one bedroom in Hollywood.

No they aren't.

Sure there aren't two dozen 1 bedroom apartments for under $1500 in Hollywood, but they are out there (remember you claimed it would be a STRETCH at $1600). If I move the price meter to $1,600, I get double the amount of units showing up on the map, at 1700, another two dozen show up. So I believe it's fair to say you don't need $2,000 to get an apartment in Hollywood.

Like I said, two McDonalds workers could afford to live in Hollywood quite comfortably.

I guess its a proud moment to spend $2000/00 + a month in rent forever with nothing but a crappy area to show for it, no equity or a real home/condo while holding your breath hoping the rent doesn't get jacked up or the area going to hell. I hated the short time I rented, complete waste of money.

Hey now. They have $2,000 apartments in Hollyweird, that MUST mean it's a great area. Logic dictates this.

well, that's most people in LA. not everyone can afford a down payment and mortgage. wages have stagnated while COL has skyrocketed.., the rich have gotten richer while the poor have stayed the same. and the greedy landlords especially get richer.

So the LA County Museum of art is no good you drew around it? Kenya Believe It would be a great title for the sequel to Uganda Be Kidding Me if OP is really a ghost poster for Chelsea Handler
