My mother remembers playing there when she was young, but can't remember its exact location. Anybody have any further info?

Possibly this ?

The Wilshire Links was a mini golf course owned by Mary Pickford. It stood at Wilshire and La Cienega under a canopy of stylized palm trees and as we can see by this photo, it was an Art Deco paradise.

Thanks, but the one I'm seeking info about was around the Wilshire/Bundy area. My mother grew up in the Venice area and came up to South Brentwood to play miniature golf.

Default I loved that miniature golf course!

I too loved that miniature golf course, growing up in West Los Angeles in the 1960s. Unfortunately I don't have any photos or practical information about it, but I certainly would like to learn more. I remember it as very lush and overgrown, with a lake or natural stream (some sort water feature, anyway.)

It is one of many "magic" places that I explored and played in as a child that have long since vanished from the LA landscape. Other favorite green oases include Paul J. Howard's Flowerland nursery at Colonial Corners, the gardens surrounding the Overland/National branch of the LA Public Library, the Kiddieland amusement park at Westwood and Pico, and many others. Hopefully, someone out there has the real story, maybe even with photographs!

That was destroyed to build the Great Western Savings building?

Are you thinking of the one that used to be at Douglas Park? I have some great memories of that place!

No, this was definitely on the southern border of Brentwood. Another poster mentioned a natural stream, which could very well have been the one west of Wellesley, which bolsters my belief that it was where that medium height red brick building currently sits.
