PDR is a pretty sleepy little place. If you're looking for local nightlife, MDR would be a better spot. And I'll second The Shack.

You have to go to Marina Del Rey or Manhattan Beach for everything. Myself, I prefer to live in walking distance of a market or something in case of emergency.
Also the traffic along Pershing Avenue is a nightmare. Lincoln Avenue is so congested, it is spilling over onto Pershing Avenue which was just not designed for heavy traffic flow.
