All over the news there is a story of a large robbery at nordstrom topanga mall this afternoon. One person or more was injured. This is the 2nd robbery at nordstorm topanga mall in less than 1 year.

For safety concerns is anyone else besides me now afraid to go to the westfield topanga mall??

Will nordstrom shut down their westfield topanga store because of robberies?? Nordstrom closed their downtown sam Francisco store due to crime and robberies.

It's too easy to point and click for me to waste time going to a mall. Stores close when they aren't profitable. But I hardly thing shrinkage averaging 1.4% is the reason. WFH, e-commerce, and a poor business model not adapting to times are more plausible reasons. Malls are closing all over the U.S. because of it. 40 years ago we had 2500 malls. Today it's only 700. In the next 10 years it's estimated that number will be 150. Let's get real on the cause.

Will still visit. Don’t visit as much, but what’s the alternative? I mean at least for those that enjoy getting out of the house.

Meh. I live about a half mile from the Topanga Mall and it doesn't bother me at all. This stuff is happening everywhere now since "we" stopped prosecuting criminals. I don't shop at Nordstoms anyway.

A few of them getting shot by armed guards might just put an end to all that crap.
