I currently use national city and will be moving to LA very soon.

B/c there is not really any national city banks out that way I was wondering what the majority of people use out there.

I will be living in either torrance or long beach and looking for a bank that has many locations (branches and atm's) as well as low fee's.

Thanks for the help.

Bank of America and Wells Fargo are both huge, with many locations.

I have Bank of America and I hate it. Go with Wells Fargo; I'll be switching soon.

Wells Fargo isn't any better than Bank of America. Citibank or US Bank are much better.

I've always been a credit union fan, but their rates s**k these days. Take a look at ING Direct. Their deposit rates are in the 3% APR range.

I've been with Wells Fargo since 1996. Before that, lst Interstante for 10+ years, until Wells Fargo took it over. I'm very happy with Wells Fargo and have no intentions to look elsewhere. I do NOT like BofA.

Any big bank should be ok here. Wells, BOA, JP/Wamu. The majority of people who say X bank is horrible is because they had a negative experience with the bank that was self-induced. I worked at a bank and I don't know how many people said they would no longer bank with us because we wouldn't reverse fees that they accumulated by their own negligence.

BOA sucks because they place ZERO importance on customer service. They are rude, unhelpful, and normally I would rather slit my wrist then go inside those banks.
