I recently filed and had a bankruptcy discharged a few months ago. I've had to sell my car and need to move close to the Metro line so i can take it to work downtown. Does any body know of any nice looking apartments in the Koreatown area?, specifically along Wilshire blvd between Western and Vermont where they would let me rent an apartment? I already tried one place and they turned me down even when i had a cosigner. Ive never been late with rent and have had a steady well paying job for over a year. I could use any help i can get as i only have a few weeks to find a place. thanks

One place and you give up? Dude.

There are a bunch on Craigslist today and every day. Someone will take you sooner or later. You might have to double the deposit which is common here in cases of trashed credit.

Just like an ugly guy trying to get a...ahem...date, just keep asking until someone says yes.

I hope you're looking for a cheap place to live, with roommates.

I would never rent to anyone with any negative marks on their credit report. There are too many renters out there to bother with credit risks.
But, there are many landlords who do not run credit checks. Keep looking til you find one of them.
Hint: Larger complexes and apts managed by management companies run credit checks and will likely not rent to you. THINK SMALL.

Yep, find a mom and pop owned place and show them the money.
