It's actually a lot of fun when there's no traffic. Especially if you've got 6 or 8 cylinders. You can really cruise, provided there's no construction.

Personally I like being stuck in traffic. I don't mind at all.

Sure, if you want. I work from home so I'm never in a rush to go anywhere. I can take leisurely time. I never have a certain time that I need to be anywhere (most of the time), so I don't mind sitting in traffic while listening to music. I think it's kind of nice. It gets me out of the house.

It is more than the narrow freeways that are scary if someone is coming from a small town in OK. Driving in the mid west or northern parts of the south is very different than driving on the freeways anywhere in Calif.

It is crazy fast when it isn't bumper to bumper. The response was meant as a joke I beleive..because the traffic is so horresdous.

Trust me, L.A. traffic has nothing on the way some east coast cities drive! The freeways are too jammed up to drive fast anyway. That is what is so amusing to me when I see a Ferrari going 10 miles an hour down the 405. Why bother....oh, yea...so we know you go it going on, or not

Sure the traffic in LA is thick, however alot of the drivers are pretty laid back. Drivers let you in when trying to pull in from the street etc. The drivers in San Francisco seems to be alot more aggressive and rude and will try to run you over when crossing the street.

I live in Minneapolis and I find the drivers to be worse here than the majority of LA drivers.

If you want to feel safer driving, move to Seattle. I loved driving there. Drivers aren't so nuts.
