Is there any area in Los Angeles comparable to maybe NYC where you got 24h restaurants, lots of people all the time, stores etc.?

If not, which area basicly has the most things going on?
Where you can bar hop, walk to several different restaurants etc..

OK, here we go......

Hollywood would be your best bet for a 24-hour area, but why? You have to sleep sometime.

24-hr restaurants? They are all over the place. Denny's, Norm's (these are chains), The Original Pantry (a stand alone), etc, etc. Even the fast-food chains have 24 hour drive through.

Guess what? Many of the supermarkets are 24-hr TOO.

I will say this....LA is NOT NYC. Just because there are 24-hr restaurants doesn't mean a lot of people will be at them. LA is so spread out and has so much going on that it totally screws with the minds of those who would try to mess it up with terrorism......not enough people in any one place.....
