Hi,

I´m in L.A. from march till mid April and I definitely would love to see real American Baseball or Basketball. Here in Germany the Top Sport is soccer, so I only know the Lakers and Dodgers from TV.
It would be great to see them during my holidays. So where can I find information about when there is a Game and where I can get tickets? How much is a ticket? Are there different rates for better seats?
I am totaly new about all this, so please tell me as much as you can.

Cheers
Johanna

Also don't forget about the California Angels and (ahem) the Clippers. I guarantee that Clippers tickets would be easier to get. They may even want you to play.

Dodger(or Angels) tickets will be the least expensive, like 10-15$ for upperdeck and/or outfield bleacher seats.

Basketball tickets are fairly pricey, Lakers more than the Clippers(despite playing in the same arena). Probably expect tickets in the 30-50$ range, and less available tickets as well since they're(at least the Lakers) are more likely to sell out early

Consider a Sunday afternoon game to avoid traffic.

You may want to head over to the Phoenix, Arizona area if you want to watch baseball that early in the year. Dodgers and Angels are part of the Cactus League in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. Over a dozen teams hold training camps in the Phoenix area. Just checked and the 1st game in LA is April 13th

Do the Angels still work out in Palm Springs? My dad took me there in the mid 1960s to see them. I went and saw them again there in the mid 1980s.

They used to workout somewhere else and then go to Palm Springs - they split their locations. I just looked it up. They don't go to Palm Springs at all since 1992. I just seemed to remember that they played some but not all of their spring training games in Palm Springs.
