Name some stores, restaurants or attractions that you wish Lafayette had.

restaurant wise, we're pretty well covered. One of the highest restaurant per capita in the nation, and REALLY good ones at that. Storewise I guess maybe some higher end stores like Nordstrom, maybe some more asian grocery stores (only have two), and perhaps some more boutique stores. Not really a whole lot that I'd consider missing in terms of shopping here. Attraction wise Idl ike more museums, an amusement park (Cajun Heartland State Fair is seasonal and doesnt count), and maybe more city sponsored events downtown. This is already a tourists city so theres plenty to see and do already, but in terms of being a great CITY in day to day life, its lacking a lot of things similar sized cities seem to have. No tall buildings have been built here in a long long time for example, at least not downtown. Also, infrastructure would be helped with an interstate loop around the city, like most of the other cities have. for a city of this size, the interstate should do more than just cross a tiny portion the city like its going through a small town.

I've resided in Houston more than once. I don't recommend moving there, I telluwhut.

Not a fan of Htown.

Lafayette is trying to become a "Houston" but too many people have enough common sense for that to occur, hopefully.

You don't recommend a move where the economy is stable and there are jobs and better oppotunities for children? Strange.

Lafayette is not trying to become a "Houston", it's trying to become a better city.
