Well, Edwards was smart, albeit crooked. Oh yes very smart indeed. Engaging personality. Liked him a lot. But I guess he had his detractors (those who preferred crookedness behind closed doors) such as the rest of the country. Odd man out.

Yes unfortunately we can't get anybody worthwhile in the gov's seat. They all stink. The voters won't take the time to study and challenge them so we get what we get. And this seems to be happening nationwide. Probably world wide.

Booby Jindal won't debate. He apparently doesn' t believe in it. Everybody is supposed to do what he says without question. The gutless state legislature never argues, just please his massa. Thought I would pass on to the USA what a Jindal presidency might mean. Sound familiar?

Rumor has it that State Treasurer Kennedy may be getting geared for a run at the gov's office. If anyone has been paying attention over the past 2 or 3 years, he has written quite a few letters to newspapers pointing out the discrepancies regarding state budgets and spending. Of course he could probably ease on with a nicer job with less headaches but that's anyone's guess for the time being.

Fast Eddie and his status-seeking wife will get their 15+ minutes of fame on A&E's new "reality series"
The Governor's Wife.

The Governor's Wife - Episodes, Video & Schedule - A&E

He's got just a few years left but I'm sure he'll milk whatever celebrity he can out of his brand.

Sad thing is that it's just another example of the TV shows that cast Louisiana in a stereotypical light.

Yep... corrupt, ex-con politician with a highly surgically-enhanced, status-seeking wife have a child and
sell their story to TV producers. Now that's classy!
