Hello, my name is Lynn. I will be moving to the Louisville area, preferably in the Jeffersontown, Shelbyville area (fairly close to ITT Tech where my son will be starting school in September). I have had a big problem finding an apartment (1 BR) that is halfway decent because I am disabled and am on a fixed income. My son will have his own apartment that his dad is helping with (we're divorced). My son just wanted me in the area, but he's ready to be on his own as well... spreading his wings!!! Does anyone have any suggestions for apartments where you don't have to have income that is 3 or 4 times the rent amount. I manage ok on my income but the restrictions are keeping me out of decent housing. Can anyone help please?

Slate Run is a really nice/quite/safe apartment complex at LaGrange Road & Hurstbourne Parkway. I think their 1 br's are about $450 + utilities
