I visited Sanford last fall on a trip to Wells, just to check out the area. It seems like a small unassuming town with some nice parts. What do Mainers have to say? Anything largely negative, like noisy airport or other? Crime? Will this town expand due to its location?

Sanford is one of those towns that people like to run down and "bad mouth".....(similar to Lewiston and Biddeford, Westbrook and other old mill towns that went thru severe economic decline)....you seldom hear anything good said on the Maine Forum about Sanford.....and it doesnt seem destined for any dramatic economic up-turn in the near future. altho I truly dont know much about the town.
