I bought a quart of Nature's Miracle skunk spray. I couldn't find Skunk Off! As long as it works I don't care who makes it. There haven't been coons in the bird feeders or skunks digging in the lawn for grubs yet KNOCKING ON WOOD VERY HARD.

We seem to have one living under our deck. The landlord is supposed to be putting moth balls out to see if that will help. I have heard it does and I have heard it does not. We shall see. The landlord said if it does not work he will see about getting someone here to trap the skunk. I will continue tip toeing across the deck each morning to get to my car to go to work and also each evening coming home. I will not be the one irritating or scaring Mr. Skunk. I am sure if the skunk were living at the landlord's house he would pass on the mothballs and go straight for the trap. Funny how that works.

If you have children and/or pets you'll need to keep them away from mothballs. They contain napthene which is poisonous.

My mother always wanted a big fat hen for Sunday dinner. She would tell me early Sunday morning to go out and get her a big hen and dress it. She would get the water ready, and while it was heating I would do the deed, use the chopping block and drain the blood. Then came the SMELL of feathers and scalding hot water! If any of you have ever plucked a hen, you know what I mean. Now that I am older, I don't know how I could do it Then I could dress the chicken and 3 hours later sit down and eat crispy fried chicken. But I was young, and it was just a part of growing up on a farm. You never make a pet out of a future meal. Animals on a farm are for man's use as food. The only pet on a farm would be a dog or a cat, and they too are working animals!

Nope, no children (or at least none that are still at home) and no pets. We don't have any and the other tenants in the building don't have any. We should be good..I hope.

Take them to the shelter or Humane Society. And fix your cat.

Let's open a 3 year old thread and see if folks from 1,500 miles away will come get my cats. Whoops; did I say that out loud?
