My wife and I are planning our first trip there in August. Any suggestions as to where to stay and what sites to see?

I don't live too far away so I can't recommend specific accommodations. One thing you must do in Ogunquit is to walk the Marginal Way - the rocky shoreline and even some of the homes backing to it are something to see.

They're a little overpriced, but at the one end of the Marginal Way is Perkins Cove, and you want to get a lobster roll at Footbridge Lobster or the Lobster Shack (right next to one another). If you can find a B&B or Inn in the Perkins Cove neighborhood, that's a very nice 'hood.

The beach at Ogunquit is exceptional, gotta do at least one beach day there. Just to the south, Cape Neddick, Nubble Light, Short Sands and Long Sands beaches are also attractions. If you have time, it's not too far to Kennebunk and Kennebunkport to the north, which are also quite interesting towns.

We just had a great week at the Pink Blossom. We’ll located. Efficiency with small kitchen. Nice little pool. Place was immaculate inside and out. Friendly. Still off season rate $139/night. Highly recommend. Book soon wherever you decide to go with as I’ve heard that availability is going to be very limited this summer as demand is off the charts.

The Meadowmere is quite nice, The suites have fireplaces, and 2 person jacuzzi tubs, DW and I stay there during off season to enjoy the hot tubs and indoor pool.
