We made a scarecrow one year with a mask that lit up and eyes that flashed. It didn't do much more than a regular one during the day but it scared the deer of at night real well!

Kind of looks like Dolly Parton minus the head....
My problems were with deer and woodchucks....put in a 4 foot fence, problem solved. I have the birds but they spend their time over at the feeders away from the garden.

Ranger, you need to take that thing and bring it over to Maineah's place and set it up with a can of beer, drape a blue tarp around it, lean it up against an old couch, and set the motion detector for movement around that upscale house his neighbors are trying to sell. Whenever anybody comes to look at that house for sale, they will see.....
