THANKS for coming! I know there isn't a Cabot Cove, BUT I would like to move somewhere like that (w/o all the murders).

I'm a 100% disabled vet, so I wouldn't be taking any jobs from locals; I am a firm believer of giving to the community hence all my years in the LIONS club; awaiting final interview to join the disaster team for the Red Cross.

I've looked at Cutler, Calis (VET Medical center), Eastport and cities in between. I'm from MN so the winter isn't an issue. Like the majority of others, I'd like to find a place to rent for me and my dogs and within smelling distance of the ocean.

Please, any suggestions and ideas would be much appreciated. THANKS

I'm in Eastport. Lubec is nice, Perry and Robbinston are nice. Rockland, Belfast and Bucksport are also very nice. I like Milford and Cherryfield for their old time charm.

One of the neat things about Maine is that there are really no "cities" like other states have. That lends itself to allowing most of the towns to be a potential Cabot Cove.

THANKS! ALL ; Woxyroxme those pictures were awesome! Roxies Hot Dogs and the future of rock & roll have convinced me

I would image that highway 190 gets jammed in the summer; how long (time/miles) to the closest VA (Calais?) Medical Center? Is there a significant differnce in driving time in the summer vs. winter? Is there a Lions CLub in Eastport?

190 never gets jammed in the summer or any other season - maybe 4 cars in a row at once. It's 26 miles to Calais and the only driving problems you will encounter in the summer, spring and fall is road construction. See, not too many people know about Eastport, it hasn't been "discovered" yet. I would assume there is a Lions Club in Eastport although I really don't know.

There's a Lion's Club in Calais, also in Lubec.
