72 hours and counting... I joined the Air Force straight out of high school and couldn't wait to get away from the small town and out of Maine. Thought I would never ever return. Here it is 25 years later and guess what? yup moving back. All the things I couldn't stand are not the things I crave (except for the bugs) LOL....... my wife and daughter have always wanted to move back to Maine but I swore up until a few years ago that I wasn't going to. Then something hit me and I changed my mind so two years ago bought the land and a year ago started building the house.. well actually the builder did and I "supervised" from Germany LOL. I have flown back a few times and the house is done and exactly what we envisioned and wanted so here we are...... 72 hours from leaving Germany ... our home for the last 10.5 years and coming home.... even with the bugs, snow, long winters, taxes, bad roads ...

Back with friends and family and in the place we feel the most at home. Look out Maine, here we come. Been a couple years in the works but finally coming true.

Remember we have a commissary in Bangor.

It's always a good day when those (used to be green) id cards turn blue!

Been in that boat. Have a safe trip. It's good to be a vet. Enjoy and thanks for your service.
