Thumbs up I love Maine!!!!!!!!

This thread is as refreshing as the spring air in Maine. The goldfinches are back with their winter coats shed as the rebirth of spring brings the bright yellow that shines! The bluebirds, with the call of mating are a blessed site. Now we await the Orioles. Soon the ponds and rivers warm enough to allow swimming without the dreaded blue extremities! The loons have arrived at the pond. Okay now I have a story: About two weeks ago a friend who owns a camp at the inlet to our pond saw the first loon on the lake.(until the ice is out they are in the nearby river) He noticed the loon swimming in circles. Not knowing whether or not the loon was entangled in fishing line, he walked to the pond's shore. As he approached the loon dived and an Osprey swooped over the loon's last spot on the pond! This happened one more time further down the lake. The next day he saw the loon-so now we have a lucky bird and a "still hungry"Osprey! Take care and God Bless.

7th Generation, I love your post!!

Last night my friend and I drove over to Cobscook Bay to pick up a new geocache (google it if you're not sure what that is--it's fantastic!) that had just been placed. After the find we went down to the water's edge....the moon was full and bright shining across a smooth, dark water. The reflection of the moon created a wide band, leading to what looked like another moon, there in the bay. The fishing boat just to the side of the reflection made the entire sight perfect. I wished for my camera, but I have to say, I won't need a picture to remember how spectacular that was! And the stars...incredible...a perfect night!

Now, David, that sounds like a personal question! I have no idea how to read or speak French, but it does sound like a hint of sensuality there!!

So did you?

Golly,Mrs. Molly geocaching sounds real fun! I have a few friends,(surveyor, forester and hiker), who use a GPS's,but a treasure hunt sounds real fun. Do they have Clubs that organize these or just a group of friends?
