Some people like to say that "crime is everywhere". Take a hard look at this, it's the homicide rate in 2004:
The Fairfax Co. listed there is Fairfax Co. just over the river in Virginia. That's right. You're only 145 times as likely to be killed in Baltimore as you are in Fairfax Co. Nice. In DC it's "only" 119 times as likely. If crime is everywhere, it's a lot more everywhere in some places than it is in others.

Anyways, how can you even interpret this data? There are no labels or explanations, just ambiguous numbers. Where did you find it? What are the sources?

Yeah, you may not get murdered in Fairfax. But, how likely are your children to be rape and murder in VA. Did the data research this? If we are going on data and the News. Killings are mostly to happen in MD or DC...possible. But, it's also possible your child will get snatched and molested in VA.

Checked out the map. The massive cluster in eastern DC and into the MD suburbs of DC (PGC etc.) is staggering. You can't see any gaps between the flags on the map if you zoom in on that section
