There's a county government ban on owning them in Prince George County, but I have seen plenty in Howard and Baltimore Counties. However, any landlord can put restrictions on their rentals, and many do.

Be aware the MD Court of Appeals recently declared pits bulls iherently dangerous. The meaning of that is still being sorted out but be prepared to carry extra liability insurance and have enhanced containment and control requirements for your animals.

Pitbulls are lgal in most of the state, I think that includes Baltimore City/County. But as mentioned, under the new law the owner is liable for any time the Pit Bull bites or attacks, regardless of the dog's history. So be aware you will have zero leeway if you have any trouble controlling the dogs.

Also keep in mind that alot of rental communities don't allow pit bulls or any mix thereof. Of course based on my experience, they don't enforce this very well.
