Hello!
So my wife and I are both getting stationed in the MD, VA area. I will be working at the Walter Reed Military Hospital in Bethesda and my wife will be working in Ft. Belvoir VA. I will need to take the Metro everyday and the schedule is confusing to me but I’m starting to understand it. Does anyone know of a good location to live for ease of transportation for the both of us? She will be driving to work. I’ve looked into Falls Church and that looks close but still says it will take almost 90 minutes to get to Bethesda via metro! We’re looking for areas that make it somewhat easy for the both of us.
Thank you!

Living in downtown DC/Penn Quarter would make the most sense from a commute standpoint. Probably 30 minutes for each of you.

Does anyone know of a good location ... for the both of us?
I don't think that is possible.
The question seems to be about least bad and even on that measure it's tough.

I would lean towards the Ft Belvoir area with easy access to the Metro. She will have a short commute and you will have the commute with someone else doing the "driving" for you. With the traffic congestion here, it has to be the best bet.

You might do better to ask this in the Washington DC suburbs subform, if you haven't already.
