I will be travelling through but not stopping in Maryland soon and would like to know if they have reciprocity gun laws with Pennsylvania? I have a valid PA CWP.

I don't know for sure, but my guess is NO. A buddy of mine has a CWP in PA and he makes sure he doesn't cross the Mason Dixon with it.

The answer is no. But if you have a MD permit, you can carry in Pa. unless they've changed that.

No. Make sure the gun is unloaded and stored in a case (a holster qualifies) in the trunk, separately from the ammunition. There is some legal dispute whether a loaded magazine, even if it is not in the magazine well, constitutes a loaded gun. Once you're back in America (Virginia) you will be fine.

The federal transport laws supercede Md's. Residents may only transport a handgun as described above, under a few specific situations - to/from gun store, gunsmith, range and dog training. Technically it's a crime to stop for gas, food etc. I know at least one person who was questioned by the police after leaving the range and stopping for a sandwich. Makes you glad you live in PA don't it?
