My husband and I are contemplating retirement and have discussed possibly relocating to Ocean Pines, MD. We love the beach, and the community seems to have a lot to offer in the way of activities and amenities, in addition to its proximity to the ocean. However, we have heard about possible problems with mold in Ocean Pines. Also, it seems like there might be a lot of bickering, politicking, etc. regarding community improvements. Is there anyone who lives or has lived in Ocean Pines who can give us some information about their experience there? Any input would be appreciated!

Everything you just said is right on the money. Avoid the Pines if possible. There are much better surrounding areas.
