Hey, so I'm looking at engagement rings, and recently went to a Hannoush... I have zero experience with them... and with jewelry stores in general really... Anyway, was with the girlfriend, and we found a ring that she loved, and wasnt a bad price... The thing that worried me is the sticker was about twice as much as he said he could get me due to some anniversary sale... is this normal?...because it was a bit of a red flag to me. Anyone have any experience with these guys? Most reviews out there seem bad. I just dont want to get scammed on this whole process... Thanks

I would avoid the chain stores.

If you can get in to Boston, go to Ohanian in the Jeweler's Building and ask for Eric.

this is not abnormal to see with jewelry stores. hannoush is not a chain of stores anyways its a private family owned business. they are able to get their diamonds at very good prices and just ask to see the diamond certificate. last time i went it was very legitimate. hannoush jewelers will take care of you as they did for me.

Hello, Mr. Hannoush. How is business? Pretty suspect for your first post ever.

From what I learned ring shopping, there is a lot of wiggle room in the price of the setting opposed to the diamond. I too probably would have paid double if I bought them separately.

FWIW my wife wanted a tension ring so we went to Homsy in the Jewelry building , awesome place. That being said, the Hannoush family is out of West Springfield and though they do have a big operation, its not like a Kay jewelers.
