We are looking at a possible move to Hanscom, but I've heard horror stories about how expensive it is to live there. Specifically, I've heard people claim that their heating bill can run upwards of $2000/month. That seems ridiculous to me, but I've mostly lived in the midwest where we pay under $100/month in the winter.

Can anyone give me realistic info on what utilities (electricity, gas, heating, cooling, etc.) might run?

Thanks!

At today's oil prices I expect to pay $4000 for oil for the year, that's $333 per month.
