We are relocating to Boston in early May and are currently looking at some day schools for our 2 year old daughter. We would prefer to send her to a Jewish school in the Newton area. I've tried doing research online about the best schools in the location, but can't come up with any real feedback or ratings. Does anyone have any insight or advice as to which ones would be the best to consider? Thanks in advance...

The JCC in Needham (close to Newton) has a great preschool. When she's a little older, I've heard nothing but great things about the Rashi School.

This is not Newton but people rave about the Billy Dalwin preschool at Temple Emunah in Waltham on the Lexington line, there is also the Gann Academy in Waltham.

Oh yeah, I've also heard great things about Temple Emunah and am even on their listserv (in fact - the whole reason I don't go is that they seem SO focused on young families - not much for single young adults like me!). Both Temple Emunah and the Gann Academy are not far at all from Newton.

congki.org Congregation Kehillath Israel - has a GREAT preschool. It has been there for years and people I know who have gone there or sent their kids rave about it. It's in Brookline.

The JCC is in Newton not Needham. It is very close to the town line so I can understand why you might not know.
Temple Beth Shalom in Needham also has a great pre-school. I'm planning on sending my son there when he's your daughter's age.
