My husband and I are considering a move to the Boston area. Arlington or Brookine are interesting to us, but I'm curious about the quality of public schools in both communities. I've looked at the statistics but would like to hear first hand opinions. We would be commuting to Cambridge, and don't want more than a 15-20 minute commute.

Been searching for real estate myself. Do not know about public schooling but Brookline and Arlington are both very close to Cambridge. Brookline is very nice. I've stayed there during my visits to Boston before. I do not know much about Arlington.
