Hi! I actually grew up there, graduated from PHS in 1990. Nice area, easy commute to Sturbridge, Springfield, probably OK to Amherst area too.
The high school buidling is in good shape, was built in 1994. School performance isn't all that great - they were OK when I graduated, but have gotten worse. There's a link you can use to check out school test scores, etc in Mass - site is
Directory Profiles - Massachusetts Department of Education. Compare Palmer to other towns in the state and you'll see what I mean. My wife and I are relocating back to MA, and ruled out Palmer for that reason.
