Burlington, Westford and Woburn would all be good choices in the up to $650K range.

We're in the same boat - wondering where you chose?
We're looking at Burlington, Wakefield, Woburn, Arlington & Reading. One son in college and one starting HS in September. Husband commuting to Andover.

Would love input!

1. Job would entail that he is at the Woburn office 3-4 days a week and the Westford office 1-2 days. So towns in between would be good.

2. Looking for a bit of a Jewish community (reform)
try Andover, or Tewksbury, both right on 93/495 for quick access to Westford and Woburn.

I would also suggest Andover.

Bedford is booming right now, especially along route 62..All the towns within that area r solid..Lexington is the most diverse
with a great center with dining, shopping etc and walk friendly..as does concord, but Concord is way up there in price as the
average 4 bed 2 bath home is over a million and lexington around 950,000 for the same.

Research all the towns and find the right fit for you and your family. 600,000 can get you much more if your willing to
sacrifice a few things. The main one being driving time. The further from beantown you r, the bigger bang u'll get for your buck.

Maybe look outside the 495 belt if your H is working in Woburn, as it's a manageable commute..Check out Acton and surrounding towns..

What kind of town are you looking for? If it is something more rural, than Westford or Bedford may be nice towns. If you are looking for, Melrose, Wakefield, Concord, Andover and Reading may be good prospects, although $650 may be a little low for some of those towns.

The problem about the towns on the 495 corridor is that if you ever switched jobs to ones closer to Boston (like Cambridge), the commute is pretty painful from 495.
