Bringing my daughter and friends to John Mayer concert at Comcast Center in Mansfield on Saturday Aug. 17, 2013. I'll be dropping them off, hanging around the area, then picking up afterwards. Want to avoid the traffic in the parking lot.
Can someone give me specifics on a location to pick up my daughter and friends after the concert. Someplace they can walk to safely and I can wait for them there.
There is a Cumberland Farms just south on 140 that is usually convenient.
Don't know where you will be driving from, but your best bet will be to come in on 140 from the south. If you are on 495 take it to Rte. 123 and go west into Norton, then north on 140. The worst congestion is in the other direction, which you will avoid if you meet them at Cumberland Farms.
Thank you. I am coming from the North but I can leave going on 140S to 123E and then back to 495N. Is it worth it to go around this longer way to avoid traffic going from 140N to 495N after the concert?
Should I go this way to get to the concert also? Normally I would drive 495S to 140S to Comcast Center.

Experience has taught me yes to both, but far more so when leaving. Dropping off I would guess it to be a toss.
Are you allowed to drop people off in the premiere lot at the entrance of the actual Xfinity Center and then leave and then pick them up like near the entrance where they would go into the Xfinity Center? I'm bringing my daughter and her friend to one concert V and I don't have VIP parking but I'm not going I'm just waiting for them the 9th they're also going to a concert but the VIP parking came with the tickets so I'm worried about the 5th it's already a concert I'm concerned about because it's Slipknot Marilyn Manson and Of Mice and Men so nervous anyway
Getting out of there is always a zoo with all the concert goers leaving at one time. Going in is usually no problem. You are wise getting alternate advice on here.
I was using voice text so it came up as a Roman numeral but my original post said I'm bringing my daughter and her friend to a concert on the 5th we are I don't have VIP parking but I want to be able to drop them off and pick them up right at the entrance of the actual Xfinity Center does anyone know if they allow that or if I should buy parking for the VIP lot. Already nervous about the show because it's Marilyn Manson Slipknot in another band so I don't want her walking through and trying to find her way we're going also on the 9th but that I'm not nervous about cuz it's 5 Seconds of Summer and I already have VIP parking it came with the tickets it's a completely different crowd LOL so my question is about the fifth do they allow you to go in and drop them off right at the entrance to the actual place Xfinity Center and also do the same with pickup
I was there last night doing drop off and pick up for Panic at the Disco and Weezer. You are not going to be able to get right up to the entrance. They have a drop off lot that then becomes the pickup lot. It's about a third of the way to the entrance and there is signage on Rt. 140. When I dropped off I was given a piece of paper with the expected end time and when to show up. To be honest, it was much easier than I expected.
You might be able to park in one of the free lots, walk them in, and then leave.
Ty for the advice I wasn't sure if I should just buy the parking for $45 cuz I don't know what to do for a couple hours but I don't want to waste $45 so thank you for letting me know I figured they had to have some pick-up drop-off way I just wasn't sure and I didn't want them walking far and God knows getting lost or something I'm a paranoid as it is LOL
