My husband got a new job in Marlborough Mass so our family is going to be moving from wisconsin to massachusetts in june. we are not familiar with the area at all, but do have family in rhode island. we want to live somewhere inbetween rhode island and marlborough, but just not sure where to even begin to look. we are looking for a safe, young, community with great public schools to raise our children in. any suggestions would be fabulous! thanks so much

I would look at the King Philip district towns of Wrentham, Norfolk and Plainville.

Northborough is lovely and Westborough as well. You're going to be to close to RI no matter where you live. New England states are tiny. Where does your family live in RI?

You raise an interesting point. "Close" is a relative term. If the OP could tell us how long of a drive they're willing to put up with to get to RI and also what their housing budget is, they'll likely get better quality answers.
