We will be in Cambridge next weekend and are looking for a nice fall festival or pumpkin patch to go to on Saturday. We'll have a car and don't mind driving a bit, any suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks?

There’s a lot of them I know but can anyone suggest a good one?

We’re only going to be in town for 2 days so it’s important to find a good one.

Since Boston / Cambridge is a very small city, you don’t have to drive far to get into rural countryside. Only 15-20 minutes on Route 2 to a little town called Lincoln or Route 117 to another country town called Sudbury will take you to roadside farms with pumpkin patches, cows etc.

I think it would help if you specified exactly what you're looking for. Do you want a festival with events and drinks/music/whatever, or are you looking for more of an orchard/farm setting where you'd pick out a pumpkin, drink some cider, buy some mums, etc.?

I find it hard to believe that a college age son would want to visit a pumpkin patch. A beer garden, yes; a pumpkin patch, no.

Any of the local farms with have something fall themed going on. Really need some more clarification as to what specifically you are looking at?

For example:

https://www.brooksfarms.com/fallfunfestival

https://www.connorsfarm.com/fallactivities

Marini Farm (Fun corn maze I've done a few times)

https://patch.com/massachusetts/nort...ber-28-29-2019

There's Farms all over MA that do similar things.

I'll second what someone else noted.. Take a trip up Rt 2, make your way into Concord for a slice of history and beautiful countryside. You can stop at one of the many farms, grab some lunch at one of the really good local restaurants (Woods Hill Table if it were me). Then, make your way into Westford and go to Drew Farms and then to Nashoba Valley. Drew farms has some nice pumpkin patches, a nice hayride to the top of a hill with great views for foliage, apple orchards, etc. And, Nashoba is not too far, and they host Witches Woods, which has some events during the day, before becoming a scary little theme park at night.

Or, stay local, and hang out at the Pumpkin Festival in Cambridge.
