Do you drink tap water or bottled water? The town i live is supposed to have very good water. i drink the tap water but husband buys bottled water. I hate the plastic we recycle and want to get a filter.
If you have installed or had installed a water filter can you recommend one. I would like instal one just for kitchen faucet because that is where we mostly when drinking water. Si i am not looking for the whole or water softner.
Thank and please share your experience.

I've had a similar one for years(see below), never had any problem, you need to put a hole in your countertop for the spout to come out.

I have an inline 3M filter under the kitchen sink in series with the activated charcoal filter in my refrigerator for ice and drinking water.

If I had young children or a pregnant wife, I'd probably at least have a reverse osmosis system and I'd be more careful about water for cooking.

Refrigerator filter. I'd get your water tested if you are concerned.

Had a RO system at one point. Now mostly use the fridge water filter and that's just more so crap in the pipes/fittings gets filtered out. We have MWRA water

Municipal water systems have to be tested yearly and the results made available.

I'm on MWRA and drink it right from the tap, no filter.

I would never filter tap water, especially from the Quabbin. I did a first flush test our our MWRA water when I lived in Marblehead and it was ND for Lead.

I even bought a bypass plug for the fridge so I didn't have to waste money on the filters.

If your town has a shared well, you can review their analytical or test it at home.

We use bottles and filters... Technically we do not need it as out town has good water, just old habit.

For a cheaper no fuss option try using a Brita pitcher, we have one and works great! Just refill when the water gets low and it goes right in the fridge. I think it was maybe $25 for the pitcher and a 3 pack of replacement filters are $25ish.
