New Mazda owner here! I just bought a 2014 CX5 Grand Touring. It's silver with black interior, looks like leather seats but I think just the edges are real leather. It's got all the bells and whistles. I don't have a picture of it yet. I'll have to take one and post it here. But it's beautiful.

I shopped for a compact SUV for a good month to 6 weeks. First I wanted a Honda CRV, then it was the Nissan Rogue. I debated over them and watched available ones online and the prices. I drove the Rogue twice and the CRV once. I hate the test drives because you can't really get a feel for the car in such a short time and you're nervous and the salesman is with you. But I just couldn't decide. I wasn't going to buy brand new, as I wanted a 3 year old vehicle because that's when leased cars go back on the market. It had to be one owner, low miles and certified.

One day I realized I hadn't checked out the Mazdas. So I did some research and I liked what I found. The reviews were great both from the pros and the owners. In fact they were way better than the CRVs. And Consumer Reports liked them a lot too. So I found one online that I liked everything about, went to see it and wound up buying it. That was only a couple weeks ago. So far I am really liking it. I have to read the manual though and there's a separate one for the navigation system. Ugh. I hate having to learn technology but I like to use it, so gotta do it.

Welcome to the club!

Pretty sure it's full on leather.
That's another thing that sold me on the Mazda, too. When I test drove the CRV, Jeep and Subaru, the dealer dude went with me. When I went to Mazda, dude copied my license... and tossed me the keys: "Have fun!"
Although... I wasn't nervous with a sales guy with me... I like to make them nervous.

The system is pretty intuitive... not much of a learning curve. I think the 2014 Navigation is different then mine, but if I can be any help, don't hesitate to ask. And let's see it! Haven't seen many silver ones.

I still love the MazdaSpeed3. Was close to getting one but went a different direction with my car purchase. Would love some pictures of this when you have time.

I used to have a 2002 green Tribute until a furniture delivery truck T-boned me and totaled it last year. It was still in great shape and fun to drive ZOOM-ZOOM!

I ended up with a 2015 fully loaded CX5, I believe it's a Grand Touring. The stereo is as good as the one in the Tribute which had 6 CD's and 7 speakers.

My son had a 2006 Mazda 3 that also got totaled a few months after mine, his was that hot dark blue. He drove into a flood, his insurance totaled it, he bought a Jeep lol

Speaking of ZOOM-ZOOM my hub has delivered Mazda's forever, we have some ZOOM-ZOOM stuff that I don't think was given to the general public. I still say ZOOM-ZOOM as I pass people lol
