I went there a couple of years ago, I remember that the design of the corn maze was the U of M athletic logo. Also, I remember it being kinda overrated, considering the line in which me and friends had to wait in.

You and your friends should go walk around the area of Trigg & Latham @ midnight sometime. I bet that will make your butthole pucker up

If we are talking about South Memphis, I was thinking a couple of blocks north, over on Lucy, but you're damn close. I've always felt that North Memphis can rival or exceed South Memphis/Orange Mound in terms of creepiness, but to each their own.

I'm honestly surprised that some in Memphis gang culture haven't tried something along the lines of Devil's Night, but then again, it's probably happened, and if it has, then the Memphis media has succeeded in doing what it does best, covering up the truth about this city.

As for your second comment, you'd be unsuccessful in finding anything on my record, and at my age, most of the halloween stuff is just a little immature to me.

For a family-friendly event (great for kids), Hope Presbyterian in Cordova is having their annual Fall Fun Fest on Friday, 10/22. Starts at 5:30. Admission is $3, or free for kids 2 and under.

We went to the Haunted Corn Maze this weekend... what a disappointment. The staff did a great job and it was put together well, but Memphis showed up to ruin another potentially great event. There were large groups of MCS students chanting rap quotes and jumping up and down (not sure why), teens picking corn off stalks and throwing it in random directions and laughing about it, and so many people in a dirt field that there was a fog in the air at all times. When I got back to my vehicle, I found myself wheezing from all the dirt I had inhaled. I really want to stress that the staff and organizers did a great job, but you can't expect anything appealing to youth in Memphis to run smoothly. Needless to say we aren't going next year.
