Default Spending night in Memphis Fri 1/23 - need hotel advice...

Hi! I'm on my way to Massachusetts, and will be stopping tonight in Memphis (or maybe Jackson, but doubtful). My route takes me along 40 through that area. Can anyone give me recommendations on AFFORDABLE hotels on the east side of Memphis, near the highway? I will be traveling with two kids and a loaded SUV, so safety is paramount.

Thanks so much!

Any hotel off of Germantown Rd in Cordova will be inexpensive. Lots of chain restaurants and a huge mall right there too. Look online and you should be able to find a ton at that exit.

You need to consider exiting at exit 20 (Canada Rd) in Lakeland. There are 2 hotels w/i 1/2 mile of the interstate and you would have little to no worries about your safety or your vehicle's safety. Also, there is a McDonalds right there for breakfast and a 24 hour Waffle House that is very new and clean. Good luck!

I stayed at a Wingate by Wyndham off of Germantown Rd which is exit 16, head south. It will be on your left. It is a little bit south of the highway, not very far though. Safety is paramount to me too and I felt safe there. Their number is 901-386-1110. Enjoy your trip.
