jasper12...Sorry about the "battles" over your Grandma...My Mom and her siblings ended-up putting my Grandma in a nursing home (way back when) because she kept falling and hurting herself and had signs of dementia..But it was awful! My Grandma became "hard" and bitter and angry and full of blame towards everyone because she wanted to go back to her own home...It was hard to go and visit her because she was so mean and spiteful and negative. She said awful things about my Mom and Dad (and even me) during our visits. I sure felt put "in the middle." (I was in my teens at the time.)....I worried that my Dad might end-up this way too. But this wasn't the case. I "lucked-out!" He was actually more mellow and content in the nursing home and at "peace." I think he enjoyed being around the nurses and having "activity" go on around him.
